The contract process

Our accommodation guarantees are subject to the residential contract process being met. Failure to do so may result in your accommodation being withdrawn. In order to comply with the conditions of this process, you should:

Contract lengths

The Student Villages and City and Central Campus

All contracts for The Student Villages and City and Central Campus are for 42 weeks. We also have some 51 week contracts available. We know that the majority of students prefer to go home for the holidays so if your room comes with a catering allowance, this will be available for 31 weeks and does not include the Christmas and Easter vacations. Your individual contract will provide you with full details of your exact contract dates.

Deposit

In order to accept your University residence contract, you are required to pay a £150 accommodation deposit. This is then transferred to your account and held as a damage deposit for the length of your contract. Deductions may also be made from the deposit at the end of your contract for any additional cleaning requirements.

Rent payment

You will also be required to provide the method of payment for your rent when you accept your contract. Rent is due in three instalments payable from the start of your contract and not your date of arrival.
