The Accommodation Survey has highlighted some areas where we need to communicate better with you about some of our services and facilities. So, here is more information about how to report a maintenance problem, our eatwithUS outlets, the benefits of having an eatwithUS card and about our launderettes.
There are four easy ways to report a maintenance problem if you live in University owned accommodation
- The quickest way and easiest way is to complete an online maintenance form at: www.sheffield.ac.uk/accommodation.maitenanceform.html

- Call: 0114 222 4488
- In person: to the Customer Services teams at The Edge, The Ridge and Tapton
Remember to regularly check your emails, as this is how we´ll contact you to let you know about any planned maintenance or checks to your room.
Opal 2 is a managed partnership property, so if you live there and need to report a maintenance problem you will need to fill out a maintenance form at Opal 2 reception.
eatwithUS outlets are a great place to meet friends, study and relax
Our venues offer different styles and choices of food, and our menus are regularly refreshed following your feedback. In this way, eatwithUS is designed to offer you much more than shops such as Marks and Spencer or the Union Shop. The eatwithUS card offers one of the most flexible catering packages of any university
Even here at Sheffield, it was only until recently that our catered package offered only set meal times in fixed dining room locations and limited menu choice. Now, you can use your eatwithUS card in all the outlets in the residences to eat where and when you want.
Haven't got an eatwithUS card yet? Sign up today to make your money stretch even further. Having an eatwithUS card enables you take advantage of great discounts, special offers and exclusive formal dinners. Plus, there´s no need to worry about shopping for, and preparing your own food during the busy exam period. Following your feedback, eatwithUS cards can now also be used in the University Arms and The Ridge Bar.

Our launderettes are the cheapest in the area
At just £2 for a standard wash and £1 for 50 minutes use of the dryer, our launderettes are over 50% cheaper than others in the local area! Plus, if you live in The Endcliffe Village, you probably already know about the launderette in The Edge, but did you know there are 8 others dotted around the Village?
