Careers Service

For students in all years, the University’s Careers Service is a vital source of information and assistance in anything to do with enhancing your employability, gaining work experience and – for final years – securing a good graduate job or a place to do postgraduate study.

The Careers Service is located at 388 Glossop Road and is open from 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday (Tuesday from 11am). You can call in to make brief enquiries or you can arrange an individual appointment with Annette Baxter, the designated Careers Advisor for Aerospace Engineering. She can be contacted through the Careers Service reception on 0114 222 0910.

The Careers Liaison Officer for Aerospace Engineering is Dr Andrew Nowakowski (a.f.nowakowski@shef.ac.uk, 0114 222 7812). Dr Nowakowski is the department’s principal link with the Careers Service. Up-to-date careers information, information on vacation work, industrial placements and sponsorship is regularly e-mailed to students. Dr Nowakowski can be contacted on any careers related matter.
