Aerospace Engineering with a Year in Industry

The Aerospace Year in Industry Tutor, Dr R Barthorpe (r.j.barthorpe@sheffield.ac.uk), along with the Administration Assistant, Mrs Balikhin (g.balikhin@sheffield.ac.uk), coordinates the industrial placement element of the Year in Industry degrees.

Detailed information will be provided for Year in Industry (YII) students at various stages of their course. The University’s degrees with work experience receive extensive support from the Careers Service. Students must meet a specified level of attainment at the end of years 1, 2 and 3 in order to remain on a Year in Industry course.

Students registered for standard courses will be considered for transfer to Year in Industry courses provided they find a suitable placement and that they meet the academic requirements for Year in Industry degrees.
