Engaged Learning Sheffield

Engaged learning at the University of Sheffield combines academic rigour and disciplinary knowledge with opportunities for students to learn with and from external partners, real world challenges, and experiences outside the University. This type of learning often has as its focus issues of public concern.

What is engaged learning?

The University of Sheffield is an institution with a strong ‘civic’ identity: we aspire to work with the communities, citizens and organisations of the region in mutually beneficial ways.
