Our University print by Joe Scarborough (2005)

As its contribution to the Centenary, the Sheffield University Association commissioned renowned local artist Joe Scarborough to paint a new work in 2005. 'Our University', so evocative of the University past and present, is now on public display in the entrance to University House.
The painting depicts aspects of the University of Sheffield experience, including graduation in the Octagon Centre. Familiar buildings – both old and new - such as the Arts Tower, Firth Court, The Students’ Union and the Sir Frederick Mappin building are also featured.
All proceeds from sales of the print will go towards the provision of scholarships for gifted students in need of financial support, and to help The University’s Alumni Foundation which provides grants for student clubs and societies to enrich the life of the University.
All five hundred signed prints have now been sold but unsigned prints, measuring 19" x 17" are for sale. These are unframed and packed in protective cardboard tubes and are priced at £15.00 each (including VAT) plus p+p.
This print is now SOLD OUT.
