Graduate employers want their new recruits to offer them more than a degree alone - they also want to see evidence of transferable skills and personal attributes developed not only as part of your course but a range of other activities as well. For more information on how you can do this, click the links below.
Graduate jobs and recruitment information
The Careers Service holds a variety of occupational information and recruitment directories. Titles cover a range of careers from conservation, environment and science through to business and finance, sales and IT. Much information is available to take-away or on a 48-hour loan. We also have information for ethnic minorities and disabled students.
If you need help making a start on choosing your future career, or just need to fine-tune your ideas, you can book a 15-minute appointment with an Adviser at the Careers Service by telephone 0114 222 0910. If you need a longer appointment, you can arrange to see Alison Clay, the Careers Adviser linked to your course. Information on our website can also help you choose your career.
