Sideshow ScienceIn the October 2011 Half Term Holiday we ran two hugely successful Sideshow Science events at Weston Park Museum, with over 500 children and adults taking part. In the first event we extracted chlorophyll from leaves and re-enacted the process of photosynthesis with children taking the starring roles of Carbon, Hydrogen and Oxygen. In the second event we investigated how hydropower affects the environment. We ran a model hydro-generator and examined stream animals under microscopes. Look out for us at Weston Park Museum in the Spring Half Term holiday , when we’ll be reconstructing one of Darwin’s great experiments at our next Sideshow Science Event. |
