The University of Sheffield
School of Architecture
Rebecca Lawry

I have lived and worked in Sheffield all my life; originally from Totley in the south of Sheffield, I attended King Ecgbert School and Sixth Form in Dore.
I now live in Heeley after buying my first house last year.

For the last six years I have been a Brownie Guide leader (for 7-10 year old girls) and jointly run a unit in Abbeydale.

Previous jobs include working at The Star newspaper on the news desk, creating the What’s On listings guide and working on the Photographic Desk.

Administrative Roles I have been working at the School of Architecture since May 2008.

I deal with the day to day running of the admin office on Floor 13 of the Arts Tower. In particular, I oversee the examination arrangements, look after PhD students and deal with a lot of the behind the scenes running of the department.
