The Steel and Composite Structures Research Group is based in the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering. The connection with the School of Architecture is a very strong and important one as there is the precedent of a member of this research group being based in the School of Architecture, starting with Professor Roger Plank in 1995 (Head of the School of Architecture 2004-2009). This connection not only provides an underlying research background to the Dual Civil Engineering courses, run jointly with the School of Architecture, but enjoys the interdisciplinary dialogue about the future of these two professions.
For more information about the Group's research projects, outcomes and activities, please visit the Group's website at the Department pf Civial and Structural Engineering.
