The centrepiece of David’s PhD thesis was a critical edition of the Targum of Job, which was updated and published as The Text of the Targum of Job: An Introduction and Critical Edition (1994).
Research interests
• The Hebrew and Aramaic languages
• Textual criticism of the Hebrew Bible and the Targum.
Current research projects
David has been working since 1991 on the Dictionary of Classical Hebrew Project. He is currently working on an edition of some apocryphal psalms from the Cairo Genizah.
