If you're interested in doing postgraduate study at Sheffield, we'd strongly encourage you to come along to one of our open days before you apply to find out about our courses, what the Department is like and, if you've got time, to explore the city.

You can attend an open day or one of our regular visit afternoons.

At the events you'll be able to:

• Visit the department and see our facilities.
• Chat to staff and current students.
• Meet potential research degree supervisors.
• Explore the viability of your PhD research proposal.
• Tour our campus.
• Find out about our accommodation, students’ union and libraries.
