Study abroad
The opportunity to live in and explore another culture whilst studying is an excellent way:
- to expand personal horizons
- make life-time memories and friends
- maximise your personal growth
- experience new ways of looking at your subject.
University study abroad programme
You can study at a university in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore or the USA as part of your degree without extending the length of your course. Normally, you will spend your second year overseas.
Erasmus programme
This programme gives you the opportunity to spend several months in another European country, and have it count towards your degree.
The Department has an exchange programme with Leuven University in Belgium for four months. All classes are taught in English.
For further information, please contact the Departmental programme Director, Professor David Chalcraft and Alison Bygrave.
Rome trip
As one of our students you'll also have the opportunity to visit Rome during your course. This one-week trip takes place around April, and includes visits to the Vatican and the Vatican Museum, the Catacombs of Rome, major churches in and around Rome, major works of arts and architecture such as the Forum and the Colosseum.
The costs for the Rome trip is in addition to your tuition costs.
