Dr David Stec
Dr David Stec, a graduate of Leeds, Cambridge and Manchester, has been working since 1991 on the Dictionary of Classical Hebrew Project. At present, volume 5 is in preparation.
His research interests include the Hebrew and Aramaic languages and textual criticism of the Hebrew Bible and the Targum. The centrepiece of his PhD thesis was a critical edition of the Targum of Job, which was updated and published as The Text of the Targum of Job: An Introduction and Critical Edition (1994). He currently is preparing the first English translation of the Targum of the Psalms, which is to be published in The Aramaic Bible series edited by M.J. McNamarra, MSC.
