Ex Occidente Lux? Hellenic Historiography as a (possible) guide to understand the formation of the Old Testament/ Hebrew Bible
The basic question of my thesis does not aim to prove that the Sun rises from the West. Following the path of cultural memories as applied by Biblical scholars, I use paradigms from the historical or quasi-historical writings of the "Greek World" in order to illuminate our memories for "Oriens" as readers of the OT/HB.
