Biomedical Engineering Undergraduate Research Day
Final Year Biomedical Engineering students gave their Final Year Project oral and poster presentations at the Biomedical Engineering Undergraduate Research Day on Thursday 19 May.
The event was attended by industrial guests, representatives from Systagenix and Bose ElectroForce Systems Group, giving them an opportunity to see the breadth of Biomedical Engineering undergraduate research taking place at the University.
Prizes were awarded for the top 3 student posters. The prize winners were:
Ninan Simi, 1st prize, for a project on analysis of cardiovascular pulse wave transmission
Man Ting Kwon, 2nd prize, for a project on bone fractures
Caroline Wilcock, 3rd prize, for a project on skin tissue engineering
Prizes were presented by Professor Mike Hounslow, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Engineering and Dr Gwen Reilly, Final Year Project Co-ordinator.
