MSc Courses: Entry and Application Procedures
Entry requirements: First class Honours Degree in a Biomedical Science or a related subject.
Typically we would expect your bachelor degree to have a significant content of subjects relevant to biomedicine, including some of the following: molecular biology, molecular genetics, animal cell biology, animal genetics, animal physiology, animal development.
We accept qualifications from a British University or the equivalent from an overseas institution (please consult the University website or Admissions department for details of equivalence). Relevant additional work or research experience may also be taken into account during the selection process.

Deadline for Application
We take applications all year long. However, be advised, our course fill up quickly and visa applications for overseas students can take up to four months.
English language qualifications
If your first language is not English you will have to demonstrate your proficiency in English. Most applicants will require:
- International English Language Testing Service (IELTS) - average grade 7.0 (with at least 6.0 in each component)
- Test of English as a Foreign Language *(TOEFL) - Internet-based test (IBT) overall score 110 with at least 24 in all components.
- USEPT (University of Sheffield English Proficiency Test, graded as and equivalent to IELTS) - 6.5 to 7.0 with at least 6 in written component.
Applicants from India with X and XII grade 70% or above in English are exempt.

If you have a good basic science education, but you do not have the level of English proficiency required you can study English language preparation at our English Language Teaching Centre.
