How to Apply
We are able to support UK and EU-based students with funding from the MRC, BBSRC and other charities. We also welcome applications from excellent students of any nationality who have independent funding or who wish to compete for scholarships that they have identified.
Entry requirements
MRC/BBSRC requirements apply. First class or upper second 2(i) in a relevant subject.
To apply formally for a PhD Studentship or Postgraduate Taught Course, you must complete the University's application form.
Specific instructions for each course are as follows:
Prospective PhD students
Prospective PhD students must indicate at least one preferred *supervisor and should select "Department of Biomedical Science"
This applies to all PhD applicants, including those applying for MRC Centre for Developmental and Biomedical Genetics Studentships.

*Students applying for a PhD with Integrated Studies should indicate 'Integrated Studies PhD' as the degree applied for and 'Professor Steve Winder' as their preferred supervisor.
Prospective MSc Students
Students wishing to enrol on one of our MSc Postgraduate Taught courses - Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine, Molecular and Cellular Basis of Human Disease or Integrative Physiology and Pharmacology - should select one of the links below to apply.
