MSc Postgraduate Taught Courses

We offer one-year postgraduate masters courses in Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine, Molecular and Cellular Basis of Human Disease or Integrative Physiology and Pharmacology.

These rapidly expanding areas of biomedical research with their insights into disease mechanisms and exciting therapeutic potential offer excellent employment opportunities for graduates trained in each of these disciplines.

Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine (SCRM)

Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine is a rapidly emerging area of biomedical research with enormous therapeutic potential.

As the academic research base broadens and industry begins to adopt the new technologies, the demand for skills in this area is increasing rapidly, resulting in excellent employment opportunities for graduates with training in this specialist field.

Molecular and Cellular Basis of Human Disease (MCBHD)

Molecular and Cellular Basis of Human Disease Whole genome sequencing has opened up a new era of studies into the molecular and cellular basis of human disease. The new molecular genetic and cellular approaches to understand human disease and disease processes in model systems are well established in our department, with some of the worlds foremost research in these areas being conducted in Sheffield.

Academic research training in these areas are in strong demand across academia and in the healthcare industry. Graduates with training in these areas should therefore have excellent employment opportunities.
