PhD with Integrated Studies
Students with access to appropriate funding may enrol in our PhD with Integrated Studies Programme. This unique programme incorporates as its first year one of our highly successful MSc courses, and then goes on to offer an opportunity to pursue a three year PhD in a Biomedical Science research laboratory.
Entry qualifications and fees are similar to the MSc programme (further details available from the BMS admissions office). Progression to the PhD Programme is contingent on students obtaining a Pass with Merit in the MSc at the end of their first year.
Projects for the PhD programme may be chosen from any of those currently available in the department, after consultation with the relevant member of staff. Alternatively, candidates may choose to consult with staff during their MSc to determine the projects pursued in the following year.
To enrol in this programme, students must be funded at the outset for the entire four years of the programme.
