Erasmus and Study Abroad

Study AbroadSpend part of your degree studying, working or teaching in another country

Ever thought of spending part of your degree in another part of the world?
Many students have the option to study, work or teach overseas. Ask anyone who has tried it - most say they had a brilliant time. Some say it changed their lives.

A world of new experience
You get to experience another culture and a new way of looking at your subject. You can make new friends and grow as a person. And it's not like taking a year out - it won't extend the length of your course. The work that you do and the grades you achieve count towards your degree.

There are two ways of spending time overseas as part of your degree course:

Erasmus

The Erasmus programme is designed to allow European students to study, work or teach for part of their degree in another country. As a University of Sheffield undergraduate or postgraduate, you could choose to spend part of your course studying or working or teaching in Europe.

Study Abroad

The Study Abroad programme offers the chance to spend part of your degree course studying in another country outside of the EU.

As a University of Sheffield undergraduate, you have the opportunity to study part of your degree in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore or USA.
