The Sheffield Drug Discovery and Development Network
For researchers at Sheffield
This network aims to bring together researchers in Sheffield with seemingly diverse interests ranging from basic biology through to chemistry but with a common theme of drug discovery and development.
The inaugural event to bring group leaders together and highlight the goal of the Sheffield Drug Discovery and Development Network will be on 13 May (9.30am-noon) and held in the Fulwood Room in University House
This will facilitate the generation of collaborative grant proposals for example:
- To establish networks in specific research areas such as the EPSRC Network or MRC Partnerhip calls
- To train PhD students eg Marie Curie ITN
- To identify potential collaborators for translational grant opportunities such as Wellcome Seeding Drug Discovery, Wellcome Translational Awards, MRC Developmental Pathway Funding Scheme, TSB calls etc
- Research Council Project grants
- EU calls
This website will also present a collation of expertise and facilities within the University.
Links can also be found to other potentially useful networks such as the Knowledge Transfer Networks run by the Technology Strategy Board (TSB) and the White Rose Drug Discovery Forum.
