About Themed Retreats

There is ample evidence from Departments in Sheffield, notably Computer Science, that research retreats ( i.e. a focussed and facilitated off-site event of two or more days duration) is a time and cost effective means of initiating research collaborations. We plan to have a total of 6 themed retreats in the programme, one for each theme and two that draw together researchers across all themes.
