Sheffield City Council Internship Scheme

Support for businesses interested in recruiting a University of Sheffield student.

Sheffield city council

Following on from the success of the Sheffield Internship Scheme pilot project, we are pleased to announce that Sheffield City Council will be providing funding for another 50 internships.

Aimed at businesses and organisations who are interested in hosting a current University of Sheffield undergraduate, the Sheffield Internship Scheme provides you with the opportunity to offer a project based internship for one of our students.

This scheme is a great way for your organisation to benefit from the up to date skills and knowledge that a student can offer with the added incentive of 100% funding to cover the cost of hosting the student!

What does it involve?

What support would I receive?

Timescale

Student internships can commence any time after your project has been approved and advertised - the start date will be negotiated between yourself and the successful intern. Students must complete 100 hours in total – a maximum of 15 hours per week. Project funding is available on a first come, first serve basis so once all 50 internships have been allocated the scheme will close to further applicants.
