Placements & Bursaries

Degrees with Employment Experience

Our programme can help you to fill year-long placements. As well as promoting your opportunities via myVacancies, we can work with academic departments on your behalf to help you fill your positions.

Offering a placement can be a low-risk and cost-effective way of assessing a student for permanent employment after graduation as well as giving you the opportunity to benefit from the knowledge, skills and enthusiasm of a University of Sheffield student.

Bursaries

If a student has spent a placement period with you and you are keen to recruit them once they graduate, offering bursaries which will contribute towards course fees can be an effective way to encourage them to accept an early offer of a graduate job with your organisation.

Alternatively you may like to offer a ‘package’ to first or penultimate year students which normally incorporates work experience opportunities combined with contributions towards course fees and the possibility of a job offer or fast-tracking through the recruitment process.

We can assist in the development of a ‘package’, promote your offering to students and help with the financial procedures involved in providing a bursary.
