Graduate jobs outside the UK
Many international students are looking to return home when they have completed their studies in Sheffield, others are intending to look for work internationally and are considering employment in a range of overseas countries.
Returning home
It is important to maintain your contacts and networks, (including family and friends), in your home country whilst you are studying in the UK. Let them know about the type of opportunities you are looking for, they may be able to let you know about suitable opportunities. If you are returning home for holidays during your course use these times to attend recruitment Fairs and try to arrange meetings/ interviews with employers.

British Council
The British Council in some countries run UK Alumni Associations which host events where graduates returning home after studying in the UK can network and they may also run Job Clubs. Look at their Country pages under the ‘Contact Us’ section for details.

Working internationally
You may be looking to work in a variety of countries overseas. Whichever country or countries you are applying for the key factor is to start your research early. High Commissions and Embassies usually provide information about jobs in their countries, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) website has contact details for foreign embassies based in the UK.
