Santander Internships
Talented graduates, you could kick start your career in 2013 with an innovative internship opportunity at one of the UK’s small to medium sized enterprise (SME).
We are working with Santander to connect University of Sheffield graduates with SMEs around the country, giving you the opportunity to develop your employability in a full time paid position where you can take on responsibility and use your initiative.
All of the graduate internship opportunities offer full time project based internships for a three month period and many offer the possibility of longer term employment.
More and more SMEs are becoming interested in recruiting graduate talent. Working within smaller organisations can provide great benefits to recent graduates, allowing you more opportunities to:
- Get involved in a wider range of activities allowing you to gain more experience.
- Take responsibility early and use you own initiative.
- Voice your own opinions and assist in the development of roles, policies and procedures.
- Develop key relationships with staff (including senior management team), partners and customers alike.
Santander is part-funding 36 internships which will offer a minimum salary of £1000 per month; some organisations will pay more and others also cover the cost of reasonable travel expenses.
Following a successful pilot scheme, a number of organisations also offered longer term employment to their graduates following the initial 3 month internship.
