Biography

I studied at Thomas Telford School and Thomas Telford Sixth Form College in Telford, West Midlands before enrolling for the Chemical Engineering with Fuel Tech MEng degree at University of Sheffield. During my third year I applied to do a PhD project for EDF Energy under Dr Bruce Ewan and was accepted. I therefore finished my study in this year and graduated with a 2:1 BEng in Chemical Engineering with honors and am now a PhD Researcher at the University of Sheffield.

My research

My research involves studying the degradation mechanisms occurring within elastomer seals in a cyclic high pressure and carbon dioxide environment with exposure to radiation.
