Biography

I studied for my MBiolSci at the University of Sheffield's department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, which I completed in 2012. Over the course of a competitively funded SURE project and during my third year I conducted research into apparent bistable populations of Campylobacter rectus, an oral pathogen; In my fourth year I investigated transcriptional regulation in Escherichia coli, which contributed to a publication.

My research

I am currently working on microbial fuel cell technology, attempting to improve the exoelectrogenic capabilities of Escherichia coli using a synthetic biology approach.
