Biography

I graduated in 1995 from the University of Humberside, and then moved to London. After a career in the publishing industry I moved in to Higher Education in 2002. I worked at City University London in a range of roles across the School of Informatics and the School of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences, most recently as the Head of Academic Services across both schools. I moved to Sheffield in January 2013 with my family to take up this role.

            Responsibilities
            Assisting the Head of Department in developing the Strategic Plan and direction of the Department
Management of the Administration team
Financial management of research grants and departmental accounts
Set up and develop procedures for a range of activities in the Department
HR administration including liaison with HR for the setting up and extension of employment contracts
Provision of Management Information
Member of the Executive Committee
