If you need help or advice on anything that is affecting your course work, please speak to Carole or Michelle in the departmental office (C70 in the East wing). They will be happy to point you in the right direction.
Additionally there are central University services for problems with finances, child care, mature student issues, harrassment, chaplaincy etc. - organised through the Student Services Information Desk.
Need someone to talk to in confidence? - You can arrange an appointment with the University Counselling Services, or make a phone call to:
- The Samaritans (0114) 276 7277 (a national counselling agency) or
- Nightline (0114) (22) 28787 also runs an information line (0114) (22) 28788 (run by trained volunteer students).
Nightline is available from 8pm to 8am daily through term time.
Feeling unwell? - the University health service can be contacted on (0114) 22 2210, or through the link below.
- If you have to take time off please call the Departmental Office on 0114 22 29300 or 0114 22 29301 as soon as you can.
- Day 4-7 of sickness: Please complete a self-certification note - you can download a form from SSiD.
- Day 7 of sickness onwards: Please get your doctor to sign a sick note for you.
