The University of Sheffield
Department of Chemistry

How to find us

Travelling by car

Although getting to the University by car is relatively easy, finding a car park space can be challenging. Therefore, we advise all prospective undergraduates to use Sheffield's Park and Ride facilities and use public transport to get to the University. Details of the Park and Ride facilities can be obtained from Travel South Yorkshire. For people using Sat Nav, the post code of the department is S3 7HF.

Dainton Building

Travelling by train

Take the Supertram (Blue Route signed for Malin Bridge) from behind the station. Allow approximately 30 minutes for the journey (though it usually takes much less than this). Get off at the University of Sheffield stop, walk up to the roundabout and bear left, cross over the dual carriageway on Brook Hill at the pelican crossing opposite the Dainton/Richard Roberts Building (which has an exterior glass wall). The main entrance to the Chemistry Department is about 150 metres up the hill.
