Research Facilities and Services
The Chemistry department has been recently refurbished with state of the art research laboratories as well as spectroscopic and analytical equipment housed in a central services suite. This provides fast turn-around robotic sampling, the assistance of experienced technicians and training in all the major techniques, including NMR, mass spec and X-ray crystallography. Specialist facilities for interdisciplinary projects within the department include laboratories for molecular biology, protein chemistry, polymer synthesis and materials characterisation. Individual research labs are equipped for almost every technique available for studying molecular properties and behaviour.
