Character Sets

The CiCS Managed Service supports a range of character sets. If you want to find a particular character, or character set, you can use a utility program called Character Map. Character Map will show all the characters in each font and will allow you to search for a particular character set within a font.

Character Map can be opened from the Start Menu by selecting:

1. Programs
2. Accessories
3. System Tools
4. Character Map
   

Character Map Normal view

Select a Font from the drop-down list and scroll up and down to see all available characters.

Character Map Advanced view

1. Click in the Advanced view tick box to see further options.
2. Select from the Group by drop-down list.
3. Choose a Unicode Subrange from the box which appears on the right of the Character Map window.
