Logging into uBASE
The recommended route into uBASE for all users is via MUSE using the Firefox browser; however, there is currently a problem that prevents uBASE running in Firefox. For now, the recommended login routes are listed below.
Windows PC users
There are several ways of accessing uBASE.
- MUSE and Internet Explorer. Once in MUSE, click the Staff Applications tab and uBASE is in the Business Applications channel.
- Using the Windows uBASE desktop client. Instructions can be found here.
- uBASE is also available on the CiCS Managed Desktop service. Click on the link on the right for details.
Mac and Linux users
Use the uBASE Java client. This needs to be installed on your machine.
Macintosh users require OS X 10.4 or higher. To find out your OS X version go to the Apple menu and select About This Mac.
If you are using Leopard, OS X 10.5.x then please download and use the appropriate version for this operating system.
Installation
You should click on the relevant download from the Downloads box on the right. Then double-click on the relevant .jar file and it will install the java client.
