UDL Admissions

The University Data Library (UDL) Admissions Model is a resource that supplies analysis on undergraduate and postgraduate applicants to the University. The data relates to the academic and biographic attributes of applicants and enables staff to look at the frequency of applications made to a department or programme.

When UDL Admissions is used

The model supplies data that compares the current position on admissions to previous years. All data is extracted from the Corporate Information System (CIS); for undergraduates every two weeks and postgraduates, once a month. This is snapshot data which is held within the University Data Library.

To gain access to the UDL Admissions resource, select University Data Library > Admissions Model from the Sheffield Web Reports facility.

The available reports are:

  1. Total Applications For Admission Code/Owning Department (UG, PGT, PGR, Nursing/Midwifery).
  2. Home Applications Strike Rate Monitoring For Admissions Code/Owning Department Code (UG Home Applicants only).
  3. Status Application Report For A Selected Admissions Code/Owning Department (UG, PGT, PGR, Nursing/Midwifery).
  4. Year Of Entry Report For A Selected Admissions Code/Owning Department. (UG, PGT, PGR, Nursing/Midwifery).
  5. End Of Year Reports - assorted profiles using the end of the application cycle extract. Available for UG,PGT,PGR : Age, Gender, Disability, Ethnicity. For UG only, social-economic, qualifications on entry, last institution attended).
  6. Reduced Profile For Selected Admissions/Department Code - Displays gender, socio-economic, Last School Type and Age profiles at a selected point of time. Full profile available at end of the application cycle.
