Paypal Phishing Example
Below is an example of a phishing email purporting to be from Paypal.
The images and much of the text are taken from a legitmate email to give the phishing email credibility. Many of the links will also link to the Paypal website to further reinforce the idea that this is a legitimate email.
However, clicking on "Verify your paypal account" will take you to the web address (URL) highlighted below:
The destination website is often indistinguishable from the Paypal website (again the images and text will be copied); apart from the web address that you see at the top of your web browser.
