Live Support & Remote Desktop Assistance
Our Live Support service is great if you want to contact us quickly, but don´t have access to a phone. It allows you to start a chat session with one of our support analysts so you can explain your problem. The analyst can then provide remote desktop assistance if the issue is a little more complex.
Whether you are on campus, at home or abroad, as long as you have an Internet connection our analysts can take control of your computer via remote desktop assistance.
Live Support is available Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. Log in to MUSE, go to the SSiD (for students) or Staff Applications tab and from the CiCS Helpdesk channel click the Self Service link. To start a chat session, click the Live Support button.
Once you are in contact with an analyst, they may recommend that a remote assistance session is started. They will give you a six-digit code and if you wish to proceed with the session you will be asked to type this into the box on the Live Support homepage (see screenshot below). The analyst will then be able to see your screen and control your computer. You are free to end the session at any time should you need to.
