In the case of CICS, Authority for the Investigation of computer and network incidents comes from the Head of Department.

The following have delegated authority:

• the Deputy Directors
• the Team Leader for Frontline Services

In the event of unavailability of any of the aforementioned, any pair of Team Leaders can authorise an investigation.
