Replacing UCards

You should keep your UCard in a safe place and in good condition.

UCards will be replaced free of charge if:

• the UCard has been stolen and a crime reference number is obtained from the police;
• the UCard is worn or damaged through reasonable wear and tear;
• the UCard is faulty or badly printed;
• your appearance has changed significantly;
• you've changed department;
• your name has changed.

You will be charged £5.00 if you need a replacement for any other reason.

Change of name or department

Students

If your name or department has changed, you may have an updated UCard for free. However, this will not be allowed until your personal record has been changed. To change your personal record, take some proof of name or department change to Student Services.

Staff and Associates

If your name or department has changed, you may have an updated UCard for free. However, this will not be allowed until your personal record has been changed. You will need to provide proof of name or department change to Human Resources and then go to the Computing Centre for your updated UCard.
