iPhone VPN Settings

Follow the steps below in order to securely connect your iPhone, iPod or iPad to the University.

Settings

1. Go to 'Settings'.
2. Scroll down to 'General'.
3. Go to 'Network'.
4. Go to 'VPN'.
5. Go to 'Add VPN Configuration'.
6. Ensure settings are as below.

Please note: Put your username in the 'Account' field and your RATS password in the 'Password' field. You can request a new password by logging into www.shef.ac.uk/cics/password.

7. Choose 'Save' in the top right.
8. You can switch the connection on and off by navigating to 'Settings - General - Network - VPN'.

Please note: Some internet providers actively block these type of connections.
