Note: You will need to use your network username and password to download the client.
Making a VPN Connection
- Ensure that you are already connected to the Internet through your Network or Internet Service Provider.
- Start the VPN client by double clicking the VPN Client icon [see above].
- Click Connect.
You will be prompted to type in your Username and Remote Access Password. If you are unsuccessful in making a connection check that you have typed your Username and Remote Access Password correctly. - If your connection is successful, you should get a welcome message - click Continue to carry on.
The session will reduce itself to a small yellow lock icon on the taskbar. - You can click on this icon at any time to check the status of your connection or to disconnect.
If you have lost/forgotten your Remote Access password, this can be reset and emailed to your University email address by using the Computer User Account Management facility.
