Connecting guests to the wireless network
Guests of staff can use the Guest Wireless Service from all campus wireless network areas. They do not need to register their wireless adapters with the University.
The supervising member of University staff must visit https://csrs.shef.ac.uk/guest_wepkey.php and enter their University username and password. The current wep key will then be displayed, with the relevant instructions.
The wep key is changed on the first day of each month. Therefore, the wep key obtained will be valid until the end of the month, but if the guest is staying longer the supervising member of University staff will need to return to this page to obtain a new wep key.
