I joined CILASS in September 2009. One of my main responsibilities is towards summative impact evaluation, using CILASS´s Theory of Change Framework. I am also responsible for dissemination and sustainability activities and the development of legacy resources, all of which will hopefully ensure that IBL approaches are not only successfully employed at individual project level, but will also be embedded, in the longer term, in the University-wide teaching and learning culture.

I also provide support for a wide variety of IBL projects which involves working with a range of staff, brokering contacts between stakeholders, providing information and advice, conducting research, and disseminating findings internally and externally.

I recently completed an MSc in Information Management with the Department of Information Studies here at Sheffield, having previously graduated with a BA in English Language and Literature in 2001. Between my two stints as a University of Sheffield student, I worked firstly as a College Support Officer at the Sheffield College, and subsequently in Student and Academic Services at Sheffield Hallam University in a varied role involving information work, facilitation of several virtual learning environment (VLE) communities, monitoring and evaluation activities and support for international students.

The work I am currently doing for CILASS, and the ethos of inquiry underpinning not only the projects and developments taking place within the Centre but also the programme-level evaluation process, chime well with my professional interests in information management, organisational learning, communities of practice and educational change facilitation.
