Mark Morley

Responsibilities:

  • Support Inquiry Based Learning (IBL) projects from inception, development, implementation and evaluation
  • Provide a range of IBL support and advice across the University of Sheffield
  • Provide learning and teaching (L&T) information and innovation using various media and formats
  • Develop and deliver support materials and workshops
  • Conduct investigation and research into pedagogy
  • Disseminate findings broadly across the University and externally
  • Endeavour to embed a cultural change in L&T across the University
  • Develop a strategy for engaging and training staff in use of technology – ‘Unlocking technology for IBL’
  • Provide ICT-related support for software
  • Oversee CILASS website
  • Provide information and publicity material for plasma screen displays

Background:

  • Worked in the University’s Computing Service (CiCS) since June 1994
  • Technical author, editor and proofreader
  • Developed and delivered computer software and systems training materials
  • Provided ICT courses for a range of end users both within the University and externally, including the BBC
  • Secondment period with Learning Development and Media Unit (LDMU) acting as Learning Development Advisor (Evaluation)
