The department has a long track record in providing a range of services to industry. This includes:

• Product Development and Contract Testing. State-of-the-art facilities to provide standard and bespoke testing of structures and components traceable to national standards.
• Contract Research. High level research and development partly or wholly funded by industry.
• Consultancy. Our highly qualified staff have provided a wide range of consultancy services, such as vibration testing and analysis and groundwater protection and restoration.
• Intellectual property exploitation and spin-out companies.
• Short Courses. Provision of advanced training across a range of disciplines.
