Students working in the community
As part of the University experience some students decide to take up part-time work during their studies. The University Job Shop, part of the University Careers Service, works to support these students. This enables students to gain valuable work experience, equipping them for their careers once they have completed their studies. It also offers assistance to organisations wishing to recruit students for part-time work, holiday work or internships.
Advertise with the Jobshop if you:
- Want to access a large group of talented, innovative, motivated and hardworking students.
- Want to increase awareness of your products, services or brand amongst students in their early years of study.
- Need to find staff at short notice.
We advise our students on full-time courses to work a maximum of 16 hours a week during term-time. Students are able to work full-time during vacations.
