University Sports and the Community

The University´s sport department, Sport Sheffield, runs coaching sessions and supports local community initiatives. They recently supported the Broomhill Festival with the schools football tournament involving over 80 local schools and the community football initiative `Blast off´, led by the city council.

Many of the University's sports facilities are accessible to the public and available for hire to local groups. A large number of local residents enjoy the use of the S10Health fitness centre, which offers fitness classes and well as providing a gym and pool.
