Part-time Mandarin Language Teachers Wanted

The Confucius Institute is currently compiling a database of teachers in the Sheffield region who would be willing to undertake part-time teaching of Mandarin Chinese.

Essential:

• a high level of Mandarin Chinese and English;
• flexibility and adaptability;
• ability to work with a wide variety of pupils (from children as young as 5 to teenagers);
• highly responsible, with a warm and caring personality;
• enthusiasm and creativity.

Desirable:

• Chinese language teaching skills, or other teaching skills/qualification;
• Previous teaching experience;
• Work experience with children.

Part-time Arts Teachers Wanted

The Confucius Institute is compiling a database of teachers in the Sheffield region who would be willing to undertake part-time teaching of arts to school-age children.

The position would suit candidates passionate about art and keen on inspiring young learners and motivating them to explore, create and experiment with artistic expressions.

Essential:

• Relevant art skills/qualification;
• Good understanding of how to engage children’s interest;
• Flexibility and adaptability: understanding how to plan according to children's age and level of development, to accommodate different abilities;
• A sense of humour, with a warm and caring personality;
• Being enthusiastic, passionate and inspirational;

 Desirable:

• Experience in teaching Art lessons or other teaching skills/qualification;
• Work experience with children.
