Yorick Wilks wins Zampolli Prize

Prof Yorick Wilks of the DCS NLP group has been awarded the biennial Zampolli Prize for 2008 by the European Language Development Association at LREC-08 at Marrakech on 28 May in the Palais des Congres:the prize is 10,000 euro plus a certificate and prize lecture.

The Zampolli prize is awarded for 'Outstanding Contributions to the Advancement of Language Resources and Language Technology Evaluation within Human Language Technologies'.
